Mochamad Samba is a contemporary visual artist from Indonesia, best known for his abstract and expressionist artworks that emphasize emotional depth and personal narratives. He was born in Depok, West Java, on September 4, 1995, where his early life experiences strongly influenced his artistic sensitivity and emotional awareness. As a self-taught artist, Samba developed his artistic practice through personal exploration and experimentation. His commitment to visual art deepened after being selected to join a young artists workshop at Hanafi Studio Paper Gallery, which marked an important milestone in his artistic journey. Mochamad Samba’s works often explore themes of emotional struggle, trauma, love, loss, and self-healing. He works across various mediums, including acrylic, ink, pastel, cement, and digital media, creating rich textures and intuitive compositions. His expressive approach results in artworks that feel raw, honest, and deeply personal. Through abstract visual language and emotional expression, Mochamad Samba uses art as a space for reflection—inviting viewers to connect with inner experiences, emotional wounds, and the process of transformation.
