Image License & Reproduction Rights
All artwork images, photographs, and reproductions displayed on Mondoir (the "Images") are protected by copyright. Copyright in each artwork is owned by the artist or the artist's estate, and Images are published on this site by Mondoir under license from the rights holder. Purchase of an artwork transfers ownership of the physical work only — copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist.
Permitted use without a license
Personal, non-commercial viewing on your own device. Adding works to private wishlists or collection records on Mondoir. Linking to the artwork page on mondoir.art using a thumbnail of up to 500×500 pixels with full credit.
Uses that require a license
Editorial use in print or online publications, including blog posts and news articles. Commercial use, advertising, packaging, merchandise, or social-media campaigns. Use in books, exhibition catalogues, academic papers, or documentary film. Use in AI training data sets, image generators, or any machine-learning corpus. Any reproduction at a size larger than the thumbnail described above.
How to acquire a license
To request a reproduction license for any image on Mondoir, visit the artwork page (the "Acquire License Page" referenced in our structured data) and contact us via the inquiry form on that page, or email gm@mondoir.art with the artwork title and URL, the intended use, audience, geography, and duration, the required resolution and format, and your organisation, publication, or project name. We coordinate with the artist or rights holder and respond with a quote and license agreement, typically within five business days. Some works are available for editorial use at no charge with proper credit; commercial licenses are quoted on a project basis.
Required credit line
Any licensed use must include the credit line: "[Artist Name], [Title], [Year]. Courtesy of Mondoir, Dubai." For digital use, the credit must link to the artwork page on mondoir.art.
Copyright notice
Each Image is supplied with structured copyright metadata in the form "© [Year] [Artist Name]. All rights reserved." Removing, altering, or obscuring the copyright notice or credit line is prohibited.
AI & machine-learning use
All Images on Mondoir are explicitly excluded from use as training data for artificial-intelligence systems, image generators, or any machine-learning model, except under a separately negotiated written license. This restriction applies regardless of how the Image was obtained.
Enforcement
Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or modification of any Image is an infringement of copyright and will be pursued by Mondoir on behalf of the rights holder, including takedown requests, billing for unlicensed use at standard market rates, and legal action where appropriate.
