Operator and Governing Law
Mondoir FZ LLC operates Mondoir, an online-only art platform. These terms govern purchases and services and are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Purchases and Claims
Original artworks and limited editions are final sale, subject to transit-damage claims and the Partner Studio description-discrepancy process below. This policy does not limit rights required by applicable law.
If a Partner Studio artwork significantly differs from its published description or images, contact Mondoir within 7 days of delivery with your order number, photographs and an explanation of the discrepancy. Mondoir coordinates the claim with the selling artist to seek an appropriate resolution. Any correction, replacement, return or refund depends on the evidence, the agreement reached and applicable law; no automatic refund is promised.
Transit-damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase before dispatch.
Certificates and Authenticity
Certificates of Authenticity and supporting provenance depend on the artwork and its listing. Where supplied, the certificate is issued by the artist, estate, gallery or seller identified in the documentation. For sourced artworks, Mondoir provides documentation reasonably available from the seller and acts as an intermediary; it does not promise a certificate for every sourced work or independent authentication of every seller representation. Blockchain provenance records a digital token's history and does not by itself prove the authenticity of the underlying artwork. Ask Mondoir to confirm the documentation and any artwork-specific guarantee before purchase. If authenticity is disputed, contact Mondoir with your order details and supporting evidence so it can review the matter with the seller; remedies depend on the sale agreement and applicable law.
Artwork Sourcing Deposits and Refunds
A deposit equal to 5% of your declared maximum artwork budget is payable after signing the sourcing agreement. It is an advance, not an additional purchase charge.
If you acquire an artwork, the entire deposit is credited against the artwork purchase price. There is no separate successful-acquisition service fee.
For a USD 100,000 maximum budget, the 5% deposit is USD 5,000. If you buy an artwork for USD 80,000, all USD 5,000 credits the artwork and the remaining artwork balance is USD 75,000. No 3% service fee is added. Separately agreed shipping, taxes and third-party costs are itemized separately.
If you decline acquisition or cancel the sourcing agreement, USD 1,000 per documented calendar day of active sourcing work may be deducted from the deposit. A billable day is a calendar day on which sourcing work was actually performed for your request, not every day the request remained open. The signed agreement authorizes this daily rate; active days must be reasonably documented. The daily-fee deduction is capped at the deposit, and the remaining deposit balance is refundable.
If no suitable artwork is found, the deposit is refunded in full, less documented third-party costs incurred with your prior approval. The USD 1,000/day deduction does not apply merely because no suitable work was found.
Privacy and Security
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. Where necessary to provide our services, we share relevant information with payment, delivery, hosting, email and AI service providers, and with the artist or seller fulfilling your order or enquiry, subject to appropriate safeguards. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. We obtain consent where legally required; providing a service does not mean that every necessary provider disclosure requires separate consent.
Our website and service API connections use HTTPS encryption in transit. Payment details are handled through our payment providers' secure systems. Public artwork listings and content you choose to publish are publicly accessible; encryption does not make published content private. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
