"Weight That Won’t Fall" emerged from a deeply personal exploration of the burdens we carry, both seen and unseen. The dense mass of hardened plastic and cement is a visceral representation of those burdens, heavy, yet strangely fragile. I wanted to capture the tension of feeling trapped in a moment where release is just out of reach. The vibrant red splatters trace the emotional residue that clings to us, a testament to experiences that linger long after their time. They speak to the raw, unfiltered emotions that refuse to fade, no matter how much we want them to. The contrast between the rough textures and the smooth surface is intentional, creating a dynamic interplay that mirrors the psychological struggle between holding on and letting go. I hope viewers feel the weight of this tension and reflect on their own moments of suspended release. My wish is for this piece to serve as a reminder of resilience, inviting contemplation on the delicate balance between fragility and strength in our emotional lives.
