"Traces That Wait" emerged from my deep reflection on the remnants of emotional storms. I wanted to capture the essence of what lingers after the chaos subsides, those quiet echoes that persist in our memories. The swirling monochromatic textures evoke a vortex, symbolizing the erosion and passage of time, as if each layer is whispering stories of what once was. In creating this piece, I meticulously layered textiles, cement, and acrylic paint, building and scraping away to reveal the hidden depths beneath. Each mark is intentional, a testament to the process of reworking and rediscovery. The tactile surface invites you to explore the traces left behind, encouraging a connection with the physicality of memory. I hope viewers feel the weight of these residues, the beauty in acknowledging what remains after emotional turbulence. This piece is an invitation to pause and reflect on your own experiences, to find solace in the understanding that even in stillness, there is a story waiting to be told.
