Irina Anis | Artist at Mondoir

My journey in art began with a childhood fascination for the dance of light and shadow in nature. Although I first pursued a path in literature, where I explored the depths of human emotion through words, the impulse to paint eventually led me back to visual art. I rediscovered and refined my practice at Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry. In 2024, I expanded my contemporary perspective through studies at a British school of arts. This allowed me to further evolve my visual language. Most recently, in 2025, I completed specialized training in linocut and stamp printing. These studies added new dimensions of graphic expression and texture to my work. Today, my work is based in Portugal. It reflects a dialogue between the external atmosphere of a moment and the internal landscape of feeling. I strive to capture the essence of light and create images that resonate with optimism and warmth.
