Together by Irina Anis Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 50 x 50 cm Year: 2025 Price: $640.00 USD Status: available “Together” captures a quiet, tender moment between two people wrapped in a loving embrace. The painting radiates warmth, safety, and emotional connection - a celebration of closeness and trust. Its soft color palette and gentle composition invite a sense of peace and intimacy, making it a heartfelt accent for a bedroom, living room, or personal space. Why collect this work? Two bodies form a compact vertical mass while surrounding stems curve around them, making intimacy appear sheltered yet inseparable from the painted garden. Anis states that her practice connects atmosphere with emotion and seeks warmth. Here, that aim is pursued through lowered faces and enclosing arms rather than overt facial expression. In the photograph, the man’s dark clothing and the woman’s red dress meet at the centre, while pale blue surrounds and scattered blossoms hold the pair apart from the foliage. Their overlapping hands make mutual support the painting’s clearest action. The catalogue identifies oil on canvas. Oil permits dense dark passages beside brighter strokes; here, those contrasts distinguish the coupled figures while allowing their contours to remain visibly worked rather than sharply sealed.Dated 2025 and measuring 50 by 50 cm, Together is a focused example of how contemporary figurative painting can frame affection through posture, colour contrast, and botanical enclosure without supplying a narrative beyond the embrace.
