Soft Blue Abstract by Irina Anis Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 30 x 30 cm Year: 2024 Price: $280.00 USD Status: available This is an oil painting with a glossy varnish finish, conveying a sense of calm and tranquility. The soft tones and gentle lines create a peaceful atmosphere. This piece is perfect for a bedroom, living room, or any space where a touch of tenderness and coziness is desired. Why collect this work?Overlapping circular forms and clipped edges turn a small floral arrangement into a crowded structure, where recognition depends less on botanical detail than on repeated shape and contrast. Anis states that she translates atmosphere into emotional warmth. In this work, that intention meets sharper visual evidence: red interruptions and dark, angled marks resist an entirely gentle reading. The photograph shows pale rounded forms clustered across the square, with blue masses occupying the gaps. Several shapes continue beyond the frame, so the catalogued 30 by 30 centimetre canvas appears tightly compressed. The documented oil medium permits opaque passages and distinct directional strokes here. Rather than describing individual petals precisely, these marks separate, overlap and occasionally merge the flower-like forms. The work provides a focused case for comparing still life with abstraction: its bouquet remains readable, yet cropping and repeated circles make spatial organization as prominent as the subject.
