Biography
My name is Luckybamero. I am a queer digital artist working primarily with conceptual imagery and narrative-driven visual storytelling. My practice is rooted in themes of identity, the human body, fantasy, and critical humor, often shaped by my lived experience as a queer artist from Iran. I have collaborated with several international magazines, including Rolling Stone New Zealand, Kaltblut, Out Magazine, and Chaos, contributing cover art and visual projects. One of my digital paintings, created in support of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran, gained widespread international recognition and became a visual symbol of the uprising. The work was reshared by Kim Kardashian, circulated across global media, and was later displayed at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, marking a significant moment of global visibility and resistance.Artist Statement
My work explores the intersection of queer identity, Iranian cultural memory, and the environment. I use digital painting as a tool to reconstruct personal and collective narratives that are often erased, censored, or misunderstood. Drawing from history, domestic spaces, the male body, and nature, I aim to create intimate yet political images that challenge dominant norms while remaining emotionally accessible. Digital media allows me to work without harming nature and to rethink traditional painting through contemporary tools. My practice is rooted in visibility, tenderness, and resistance, focusing especially on the future of queer men in restrictive societies and on our relationship with the environment as a shared responsibility.Exhibitions
