Deeride is an abstract artist of Indian origin currently based in Dubai. With a love for nature and colour, she explores her creativity through abstract paintings and mixed media pieces on canvas. Her pieces are inspired by a moment in time or a glimmer of an emotion that is treasured within every single piece of her original work.

Artist Statement

Deeride is a visionary abstract artist who masterfully works with acrylic and mixed media on canvas to express her deep and evocative sentiments about the world as she perceives it. Each piece is a profound exploration of emotions and the intricate interplay of Mother Nature and human elements, rendered through the bold textures, vibrant colors, and metallic tones. She loves to experiment with textures and metallic tones and embraces bold, vibrant colours in her pieces. Each element speaks to the human spirit and the intensity that is in Mother Nature. Dee combines her internal and external inspirations – elements of herself and the world around her with a raw passion and a unique perspective that comes from the melting pot of cultures in her home city.

I am a self-taught artist who has developed my practice through extensive experimentation, supported by selected workshops with Sosonka Arts. Much of my learning has come from social media and YouTube tutorials, which allowed me to explore freely while refining a distinctive, individual artistic style.
