Biography

Facundo Yebne, known professionally as FLY, is an Argentine-American artist based in Miami whose practice bridges large scale sculpture and experiential public work. His artistic journey began in 2024 after a transformative visit to the studio of master artist Jack Amoroso, an encounter that opened his eyes to the possibilities of art and enabled him to begin painting under the guidance of a mentor with deep connections to twentieth-century masters. Working outside formal academic pathways, FLY developed a practice rooted in repetition, scale, and emotional resonance. In 2025 his monumental installations for Lincoln Road and the City of Miami Beach garnered widespread public visibility, and his work was internationally recognized at the XV Florence Biennale where he was awarded the Installation Art Fourth Prize for his installation in the context of contemporary art. FLY’s work reflects a commitment to collective experience and the transformative power of shared presence.

Artist Statement

FLY’s work explores unity, resilience, and the shared emotional landscapes that bind individuals into collective narratives. Through the accumulation of thousands of repeated elements, his installations transform familiar forms into visual metaphors for connection and shared humanity. The practice is grounded in material experimentation, visual accessibility, and conceptual depth, inviting viewers into moments of presence and reflection. Influenced by early encounters with masters of craft and propelled by public engagement, his work positions art as a connective framework that transforms personal vulnerability into collective meaning.

Studied Engineering in Argentina. Formative painting studies with Jack Amoroso, a master painter connected to Pablo Picasso. Ongoing self directed artistic development through material experimentation, large scale fabrication, and public installation practice.
