Sabry’s art reflects a deep fascination with symbolism, language, and cultural references, from delicate ink drawings to vibrant series inspired by motifs such as the sunflower, an emblem of resilience and renewal in her practice. Her compositions often blend text, abstraction, and figurative elements, creating visual dialogues that invite reflection and emotional engagement. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, Sabry has exhibited in the United Arab Emirates and beyond, with her artworks collected worldwide by private collectors and esteemed institutions. She has also been commissioned by important entities, further affirming the relevance and resonance of her practice. Alongside her studio work, she is actively engaged in the gallery field, giving her a unique perspective on the dialogue between artists, collectors, and cultural institutions. Artist StatementMaps of Emotions is a body of work that traces the unseen landscapes of the human heart. Each piece begins as an abstract mapping—lines, layers, and forms that mirror the fluidity of feelings as they shift, overlap, and collide. Emotions, much like territories, have borders that are sometimes clear, sometimes blurred, and often in flux. In this collection, I explore the way inner states can be charted visually: joy unfolding like wide-open spaces, grief tightening into compressed zones, longing stretching into endless horizons. By translating these invisible experiences into tangible surfaces, I invite viewers to recognize their own emotional geographies within the works. Ultimately, Maps of Emotions is less about finding direction and more about embracing the complexity of being, where every path, detour, and intersection tells part of the story of what it means to feel.
