Rapheal Akano is a contemporary visual artist born in ogbomoso, Oyo state, Nigerian. Rapheal grownup with talent and learn some art skills at Jay best art studio and later went to Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (NCE) for his tertiary education. Where he studied fine and applied arts. And graduated as a painting specialist And he choose his style in mixed media art. that explore identity, emotion, and human connection. And work on charcoal, Acrylic on canvas and paper.

Artist Statement

Through art, I aim to communicate Beauty of African, emotion, identity, and the subtle details of human experience. I am particularly drawn to the way light and shadow interact, and how color can shift the feeling of a piece. Each work becomes a conversation between control and spontaneity, where imperfections are embraced as part of the story.
