It makes sense, because this is how we celebrate holidays; we celebrate them from the evening before with family and a nice dinner. This is thought I thought of capturing in this painting. Why collect this work?A chain of tapering forms converts the boundary between days into a continuous, uneven transition rather than a decisive break. Mia reports that his upbringing defined sunset as the start of a new day, with holidays beginning the evening before.
