Crimson Dawn & Weightless is a diptych built on the dialogue between opposites. One canvas radiates intensity, warmth, and grounded energy through deep crimson tones, while the other dissolves into soft layers of pale blue, lavender, and white, creating a sense of lightness and quiet space. Although each painting stands independently, together they create a balanced visual conversation—between strength and calm, gravity and air, presence and silence. The contrast is not conflict but harmony, allowing the viewer's eye to move naturally from one emotional state to another. Created with layered acrylic textures, subtle marks, and intuitive gestures, the surface reveals depth that changes with light and viewing distance. The minimalist composition makes the diptych suitable for contemporary, Scandinavian, Japandi, modern, and luxury interiors. Together: 120 × 80 cm (47.2 × 31.5 in) Each panel: 60 × 80 cm (23.6 × 31.5 in) Signed on the back. Certificate of Authenticity. Ready to hang.
Why collect this work?
The diptych makes the interval between its panels active: two similarly proportioned fields remain visibly separate, so colour is compared across a pause rather than merged into a single composition.
- Ivaniv says she approaches canvas as an interface where colour, light, and material interact. Here, the paired format gives that concern a clear structure without confirming the technological associations described in her statement.
- In the supplied photograph, the left panel is dominated by saturated red with dark interruptions; the right combines pale blue, white, and touches of pink. Vertical streaks recur across both, linking otherwise divergent palettes.
- Catalogued as acrylic on canvas, the medium can preserve successive opaque and translucent passages. The image indicates broken layers and directional marks, but cannot verify relief, precise hues, or changing effects under light.
- For a collection focused on paired or serial abstraction, this work isolates a useful question: how can repeated dimensions establish kinship while colour makes each component resist the other?
