In this painting, I present Lady Gaga as an almost mythical figure. Her face is composed of facets, as if her identity is multi-layered. Soft yet powerful colors flow across her skin, while butterflies float around her. These butterflies don't seem merely decorative: they symbolize transformation, freedom, and vulnerability. The elegant pose, the dramatic makeup, and the luxurious white of her clothing give her a regal air, yet her gaze remains human and sensitive. The work captures her simultaneously as a pop icon and a searching soul. Her life reads like a story of constant metamorphosis. Born Stefani Germanotta, she grew up in New York, where she knew from a young age that music and art were her lifeline. She experienced rejection, insecurity, and the feeling of not belonging, but it was precisely this pain that became her fuel. With an unstoppable urge to be herself, she broke through with extravagant looks and daring music, with which she confronted and inspired the world. Behind the spectacle, the core always remained: a songwriter exposing her own fears, love, and strength. Just like in this painting, Lady Gaga has never been a fixed form. She transformed from provocative pop star to vulnerable interpreter, from fashion icon to respected actress. The butterflies in the image tell her life story: repeatedly letting go of what was, to make room for what is to come. The painting and her life together show that true strength lies not in perfection, but in the courage to dare to become yourself again and again. The blue frame is part of the Epoxy Liquid Gloss and is not a physical wooden frame.
