In this painting, I present a powerful black-and-white, radial composition reminiscent of a stylized starfish or flower. From a bright center, countless repeating shapes fan outward, like overlapping petals or feathers. The alternation of deep black and soft white creates a strong optical effect: the image seems to pulsate, rotate, and even breathe. The shapes are tightly and symmetrically constructed, yet the fine gradations and undulating contours create a sense of movement and depth. Towards the edges, the lines extend into sharp rays, further emphasizing the center. The whole balances between order and illusion, between soothing symmetry and hypnotic dynamism. The painting evokes associations with optical art (op art) and mandalas: it invites prolonged viewing and has an almost meditative effect, while simultaneously radiating tension and energy.
