In this painting, I present an abstract, almost surreal composition strongly built around the motif of the eye. At its center is a large, round shape with a dark core, surrounded by bright bands of color reminiscent of an iris. The eye seems both to be looking and to be looked at, giving the work a compelling and slightly unsettling tension. Around this center lie angular, star-shaped structures that point inward, as if enclosing or opening the eye. These sharp shapes contrast with the soft, flowing lines and transparent fields of color in the background. The colors—pink, yellow, turquoise, blue, and orange—overlap like layers of glass or liquid, creating a sense of depth and movement. The combination of the eye motif, the sharp geometry, and the organic flows of color evokes associations with perception, vulnerability, and intervention. The painting balances between beauty and tension: it is visually appealing, yet simultaneously stimulating and confrontational, as if inviting the viewer to reflect on seeing, being seen, and inner processes.
