In this painting, I present a tight, graphic interplay between order and tension. In the background lies a black-and-white checkerboard pattern that suggests depth and perspective, as if the surface is slightly curved. At the center floats a shimmering, gold-colored shape resembling an elongated star or an elastic membrane, held in place by four thin, blue-gray lines that point toward the corners of the image. Around this center, sharp, dark shapes cut through the image, as if the chessboard is being opened up or enclosed. These contrasting elements reinforce the sense of strength, stretch, and tension. The whole balances between abstract geometry and an almost futuristic, three-dimensional illusion, where stability and deformation are in constant dialogue.
