In this painting, I present a hypnotic, three-dimensional interplay of shapes and patterns. At its center floats a sphere completely covered with repeating oval motifs in yellow, red, black, and accents of green and purple. This sphere appears to lie in a hollow or distorted space, as if the surrounding surface yields and undulates under its weight. The background and surrounding surfaces are composed of the same oval patterns, but stretched and curved, creating a powerful optical effect. The whole creates the impression of movement and depth: the shapes seem to rotate, pulsate, and draw the viewer toward the center. The high-contrast colors enhance this dynamic feeling and give the work an almost psychedelic quality. The painting balances between order and distortion: the rigid, repetitive pattern juxtaposes the flowing, undulating spatiality.
