In this painting, I present a fascinating interplay of repetition, depth, and illusion. Across the entire surface, a tight grid of small, colorful circles can be seen, each composed of a core of dark dots that resemble floral patterns. The colors range from strong blues, purples, yellows, greens, reds, and whites, creating a rhythmic and almost hypnotic effect. In the center, a large sphere floats, composed of the same pattern of dots and colors as the background. Subtle shadows and light transitions make this sphere appear to detach from the surface and become truly three-dimensional. The background remains flat and repetitive, while the central sphere suggests depth, creating a strong visual contrast. The work plays with perception: what initially appears as a decorative pattern transforms, upon closer inspection, into a spatial illusion in which inside and outside, foreground and background, merge. The whole evokes associations with optical art (op art) and digital aesthetics, and invites the viewer to continue searching for structure, order, and meaning within the colorful abundance.
