Biography

I was born in April 1991 in a historic city in Iran. I hold a Master’s degree in the Conservation of Historical and Artistic Works and has been working with several renowned museums across Iran. Alongside My professional career in cultural heritage, I have been painting as a professional painter for over eight years, exploring form, emotion, and memory through color and texture. My works have been featured in several exhibitions. This collection presents a glimpse into My paintings or, as I call them, the colors of My mind.

Artist Statement

My practice is rooted in painting as both a conceptual and material inquiry. While my work often begins from a subject-driven impulse, I am increasingly attentive to how an overemphasis on theme can cause the painterly act itself to recede its composition, color relationships, and methods of execution becoming almost invisible. In response, I work with limited palettes and colored grays to slow the process down and bring focus back to painting as an active construction rather than a vehicle for representation. For me, painting is a space where seeing, knowing, and making color are inseparable: colors are not selected but built, tested, and learned through the act of painting. This approach allows the image to emerge from an ongoing negotiation between intention and material, where form, color, and process carry meaning as much as the subject itself.

Exhibitions

I have participated in three group exhibitions and am currently preparing for my first solo exhibition. My first group exhibition, titled "Here Is Tehran", was held in 2021 at Javid Gallery in Tehran. The second exhibition, "Land", took place in 2025 at the Iranian Artists Forum (House of Artists, Tehran). My third group exhibition, "In Women’s Reports", was held at H Gallery in Tehran was affiliated with the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. These collective experiences have played an important role in shaping my professional practice and have led me toward the development of my upcoming solo presentation.

Education

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Historic Buildings from the University of Art in Isfahan, and a Master’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the University of Tehran (Central Campus). Alongside my academic training, I began studying painting under the guidance of Ali Pirouz and am currently continuing my practice under the mentorship of Rasoul Akbarlou. I believe that learning is a continuous process and that an artist must always remain a student. For each body of work, I develop a clear proposal and define a specific time frame dedicated to research, visual investigation, image collection, and spatial arrangement. I personally prepare my colors and continuously experiment with their relationships and compositions, repeatedly adjusting them until I reach a point of visual coherence and satisfaction. This process-oriented approach allows me to move gradually from research to form, and from concept to a resolved visual language.
