Biography

I am an architect and visual artist whose journey with art began in childhood. Growing up in an artistic family, I was surrounded by creativity from an early age, which naturally led me to develop a passion for drawing and painting. I studied architecture, and my architectural education has influenced my understanding of composition, proportion, structure, and space. My artistic journey has developed alongside my architectural background, with a focus on contemporary abstract and portrait painting. I became an artist because of my lifelong connection with art and the creative environment I grew up in. Over the years, this early passion developed into a serious artistic practice and continues to shape my work today.

Artist Statement

My work explores emotion, movement, identity, and the relationship between colour, texture, and form. Through abstract and portrait painting, I try to express feelings and ideas that are often difficult to communicate through words. I am interested in the balance between spontaneity and structure, exploring how texture, colour, and composition can create atmosphere, emotion, and a personal connection with the viewer.

• Colour International Online Group Exhibition 2026 — No. 35 Gallery, Online • Participated in several local group exhibitions in Iraq, presenting contemporary abstract and portrait works.

* Second Place in Painting — Iraqi National Level * Rwanga Foundation Award * Winner / Award Recipient — STEP Organization Art Competition, Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Architectural Engineering, with five years of formal academic training under experienced professors and professionals. • Formal degree in Art, providing additional academic training and development as a visual artist. • Practical training in sketching, drawing, composition, perspective, and visual representation throughout his academic studies. • Continued development in contemporary abstract and portrait painting through independent practice, experimentation, and artistic study.
