This work captures a moment of inner collapse when emotions break through the surface and the body becomes transparent to pain. Created in a state of emotional fracture, the painting reveals what is usually hidden: fear, vulnerability, and raw presence. It is not a portrait, but an exposure - an inside view of a mind and body under pressure.
Why collect this work?
An oversized, mask-like head sits above a schematic rib cage, while a halo and pale wing forms frame the figure. These competing signs of injury, sanctity and bodily exposure make “Inside” less a portrait than a compressed diagram of threatened personhood.
- The artist profile reports work across oil painting, digital art, interior design and monumental painting. Here, that cross-disciplinary background helps explain the forceful organization of a densely marked figure within a narrow vertical field.
- In the photograph, mismatched eyes, bared rectangular teeth and a blue X divide the face into separate zones. Repeated red and black crosses spread through the dark background, so no single mark settles into one clear meaning.
- The documented acrylic and oil on canvas support contrasts between emphatic outlines, opaque colour and thinner-looking interruptions. Their collision makes the anatomy readable but never orderly.
- Dated 2025, “Inside” is useful for considering how contemporary figurative painting turns bodily structure into emotional notation. The catalogue describes collapse and vulnerability, an intention the visual compression supports without proving a fixed psychological account.
