“Sunday” grew from my longing for those unhurried hours when home, memory, and imagination seem to overlap. I wanted to capture a day that feels lived in rather than arranged, where plants flourish, shelves hold small histories, and open pathways invite the eye to wander without needing a destination. I built the scene in acrylic, marker, and collage, layering marks and fragments as memories gather over time. The vibrant greens, blues, coral reds, and yellows carry the warmth and energy of a place filled with life. Books, vessels, flowers, hanging forms, and tangled lines create a rhythm between shelter and garden, intimacy and discovery. The composition is intentionally abundant. For me, that fullness reflects the way familiar spaces can hold many stories at once: quiet routines, private thoughts, traces of people, and the comforting disorder of daily life. I hope “Sunday” offers a pause from urgency. I want viewers to feel they can step into this world, follow its hidden paths, and rediscover the pleasure of looking slowly. Above all, I hope it brings the gentle reassurance of belonging somewhere, even if that place exists only in memory.
