This heart does not close. From a distance it seems whole, but up close it reveals itself in fragments, signs, marks, paths that never fully meet. It carries everything that remained: love, absence, silence. An exposed center, where nothing hides and everything still echoes. It is not an ending. Open Center organizes hundreds of bounded motifs into a continuous field, making the painting’s “centre” less a location than a condition of sustained incompletion.
- xUEkA says he constructs visual languages through symbols, patterns and repetition. In this work, that stated aim is supported by recurring circles, hooks and polygons whose relationships resemble syntax without resolving into a message.
- In the photograph, small dark-outlined forms spread to every edge across an orange ground. Shifts in scale and density create local eddies, but no single motif governs the composition, so looking becomes a process of scanning and regrouping.
- The documented acrylic on canvas permits crisp separation between orange, green and dark contours. Across the stated 114 by 146 centimetres, this clarity allows individual marks to remain distinct within the crowded surface.
