Tim Rombach Explore Mondoir Studio Nationality: German Artistic discipline: painting Based in: Fellbach, DE BiographyTim Rombach is a contemporary abstract artist based in Stuttgart, Germany, whose work explores the expressive possibilities of color, form, scale, and artistic freedom. With a background in computer science, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship, Rombach brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his artistic practice. His work exists at the intersection of structured thinking and intuitive expression, exploring the relationship between control and spontaneity, complexity and simplicity. Working primarily on large-scale canvases, he creates abstract compositions that invite viewers to discover their own interpretations and emotional connections. Rather than prescribing a specific meaning, Rombach embraces the openness of abstraction, allowing each artwork to develop its own identity and dialogue with the viewer. His artistic practice reflects a fascination with creativity, transformation, and the endless possibilities of visual expression. Artist Statement**Beyond Structure: The Freedom of Abstraction** My artistic practice is driven by a fascination with the relationship between structure and freedom, intention and intuition, complexity and simplicity. Throughout my professional life, I have worked with systems, strategies, technologies, and transformation. Painting offers me a fundamentally different way of exploring the world — one that does not require predefined answers, measurable outcomes, or rational explanations. In my large-scale abstract works, color, form, movement, and composition become an independent language. I am particularly interested in the tension between deliberate decisions and spontaneous developments. Each painting evolves through a process of exploration, experimentation, and discovery. What begins as an idea can transform into something entirely unexpected. For me, abstraction is not about representing reality. It is about creating new perspectives and opening spaces for individual interpretation. I believe that art becomes most powerful when it establishes a personal connection with the viewer. A painting does not need to communicate the same message to everyone. Its meaning can change depending on the observer, the environment, and the moment. My ambition is to create works that go beyond decoration — paintings that establish a presence, evoke emotions, challenge perception, and remain open to interpretation. Art, to me, is an expression of freedom. The freedom to experiment, to question established structures, and to discover something that did not exist before.
