Biography

Omar Alsuwat is a Saudi photographic artist whose work explores place, architecture, landscape, and human presence through a contemporary visual language. Working across Saudi Arabia, his practice moves between fine art, landscape, architectural, and observational photography, drawing inspiration from both the natural environment and the changing urban landscape. His work has received international recognition, including a Gold Award at the London Photography Awards, an Honorable Mention at the Annual Photography Awards, and recognition by Carlotta Gallery. Alsuwat lives and works in Saudi Arabia.

Artist Statement

My work explores the subtle interplay between light, shadow, form, and meaning. Through photography, I seek what lies beyond the immediately visible—moments where the ordinary becomes profound, where stillness carries presence, and where simplicity unfolds into layers of contemplation. Rather than simply documenting a place or subject, I am drawn to the atmosphere, emotion, and quiet narratives that exist within it.
