We talked, but nothing was said, and now I'm hanging in the silence. Words sit heavy in the chest, rehearsed in silence, but when the moment comes, they fall apart. A message typed and deleted. A call was not made. A “I’m fine” that hides everything that is not fine. In everyday life, we move around each other like this, close, yet unreachable. The figure stands alone, loud in presence but quiet in truth, surrounded by fragments of people: thinking, sitting, waiting, breaking, but never fully connecting. The distance is not physical; it is emotional. It is the gap miscommunication creates, where being misunderstood begins to feel the same as not being heard at all. And sometimes, that silence grows dangerous. Because the truth is, no one truly wants to lose someone they love to silence (suicide). Families, friends, if they knew the weight, they would listen. They would hold it with you. You were never meant to carry it alone. This work is a plea, soft but urgent: Speak. Even if your voice shakes. Someone is waiting to hear from you.
