"The Bee Queen's Embrace" emerged from a dreamlike exploration of innocence and power. I was captivated by the idea of a young queen, both fragile and formidable, surrounded by her loyal subjects. The bees, with their delicate wings and tireless energy, symbolize a community bound by purpose and harmony. In creating this piece, I layered soft watercolors on cardboard to evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia, as if peering into a forgotten fairy tale. The girl, with her gentle expression and golden wings, represents a guardian of secrets, holding a miniature house that drips with honey, a metaphor for the sweet burdens we carry and protect.
