DANDY DIVINE — AUTHORSHIP DANDY DIVINE is part of "Architects of Reality", a collection that traces a ten-stage journey of inner transformation, from the collapse of an inherited reality to the conscious creation of one’s own. Each artwork embodies a distinct shift in consciousness on the path toward becoming the Architect of one’s reality. Representing the final stage—Authorship—DANDY DIVINE marks the complete departure from victimhood and the recognition of personal authorship. One realizes that they are both the director and the screenwriter of their own life. No longer giving power to external circumstances, they fully embrace their role as the Architect of their own reality. Presented exclusively as an illuminated acrylic artwork, DANDY DIVINE is conceived as a bespoke light-based object in which illumination becomes an expression of conscious authorship. Integrated, evenly diffused, dimmable LED lighting intensifies the visual depth, contrasts, and commanding presence of the figure, allowing the artwork to emerge within the space with heightened clarity and authority. Illumination is not a decorative addition, but an integral part of how the work is experienced. Each piece is produced to order by a specialist fabrication partner highly experienced in creating bespoke artworks and large-scale art installations, and is finished with aluminum backing and concealed wall mounting. Shipping costs are calculated separately according to the destination.
Why collect this work?
A centred portrait presents self-command as deliberate spectacle, while repeated eyes and circular motifs complicate the figure’s apparent authority with an atmosphere of scrutiny.
- The artist profile places this work at the final, “Authorship” stage of Mariana’s ten-part Architects of Reality series. That stated framework explains the declarative pose, but does not settle its meaning.
- In the supplied photograph, the sitter faces outward, one hand closing his jacket and the other raising a winged goblet marked with an eye. Round glasses and a jacket vortex repeat the circular form, distributing attention beyond his gaze.
- The catalogue identifies acrylic, dimmable LEDs, aluminum backing and concealed mounting. This light-based format could sharpen the pale figure against the cloudscape, although the photograph cannot establish the object’s illumination, surface or installed presence.
- The work provides a focused case study in how agency can be pictured through costume, symmetry and self-presentation. Its abundant polish matters because the symbols of watchfulness keep authorship from appearing wholly private or secure.
