Margarita Vityaz Explore Mondoir Studio Nationality: Ukrainian Born: 1978 Artistic discipline: painting Based in: Lviv, UA BiographyMy name is Margarita Vityaz, and I am a Ukrainian contemporary artist with over 20 years of professional experience in painting. I am primarily known for my vibrant abstract works, characterized by expressive movement, layered textures, dynamic compositions, and a distinctive use of color. I graduated from the Lviv Conservatory in 2002, specializing in Composition and Musicology. Alongside my musical education and career, I studied painting as a non-degree student at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, where I developed my artistic practice under the guidance of professional artists. Over the years, I have exhibited my work in Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, and Italy, and my paintings are held in private collections in countries including Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Today, I am fully dedicated to my painting practice, creating original abstract works that reflect my distinctive artistic language and decades of experience. Artist StatementFor me, abstract painting is a manifestation of energy, emotion, movement, and color. It is my way of bringing something powerful, beautiful, and alive into the world. I paint for people. I believe art should not only be looked at, but felt. My paintings are bold, vibrant, and confident. I use the power of color, dynamic movement, contrast, and texture to create a strong presence on the canvas. I paint intuitively, allowing a dialogue to develop between me, the colors, and the surface. Each layer responds to the previous one, creating a synergy on the canvas — sometimes unexpected, sometimes spontaneous, but always alive. I don’t want to tell the viewer what to see or feel. I want to leave space for their own experience, imagination, and emotions. Through my paintings, I manifest joy, freedom, strength, and positive energy. I want my art to bring light into a space, awaken something within the viewer, and remind us that beauty can be powerful.
