Life Is a Carnival is the first Mona Lisa I created and the foundational work of the entire series. It is the originating image from which subsequent paintings, objects, and reinterpretations emerged. In this piece, I use the mask as a symbol of the passage of time, shifting identity, and emotional protection. The vibrant background and expressive splashes create a constant tension between celebration and conflict, reflecting my view of the contemporary human experience.
