Biography

Kharen Tacmo is a Filipino artist and mentor, and an alumna of the Milan Art Institute. Her artistic journey began at the age of nine, growing into a lifelong pursuit of expression, emotion, and connection. She specializes in symbolic portrayals of women and animals,blending abstract realism with layered meaning. Her work explores themes of femininity,love, instinct, vulnerability, and strength, inviting viewers into a deeper, more personal dialogue. Guided by Love, Kharen creates with passion, sensitivity, and a deep devotion to beauty and emotional depth. Alongside her practice, she is a strong advocate for artistic collaboration, believing that growth flourishes through shared creative experiences.

Artist Statement

My work explores human emotion through symbolic portrayals of women and animals, blending abstract realism with intuitive expression. I create emotional landscapes where vulnerability and strength coexist. Guided by the Lover archetype, I am drawn to connection, instinct, and inner depth. My paintings invite viewers to feel, reflect, and reconnect with their more intuitive, authentic self.
