Biography
Originally from Medellín, Colombia, I hold a degree in Visual Arts from the National University of Colombia. My career is a blend of creation and education; I’ve taught at various institutions, from high schools to universities. Beyond the classroom, I’ve worked closely with art galleries, specializing in art instruction and professional installation."
Artist Statement
My is surreal and conceptual, based on a personal perception of life, education, politics, nature, religion and contemporary phenomena such as the historical situation of women within society.
I collect elements and symbols to generate contrast or duality, comparing and confronting the natural and the artificial, the sublime and the abominable, the past and the present.
