joanna shetsen Explore Mondoir Studio Nationality: Russian Artistic discipline: painting Based in: Hackensack Nj, US BiographyI am only 23 years old although I feel as if my art is bigger than me. Not only physically but figuratively. I’m a Russian-American painter who grew up in New Jersey with the frequent visits to NYC for its culture and arts. Art is the only thing I have true passion for… the dance between an artist and an empty canvas. Artist StatementI recently combine my approach with the renaissance style and a modernistic approach although all my bodies of work are large with bold color and intense details. I want it to feel raw and real… almost like your interrupting the painting’s privacy. ExhibitionsI’ve been in numerous shows in chelsea, NYC with curators like Art Groove and Artel Fest. EducationI’ve been going into a private studio when I was 10. The moment I started my education in college is when I also started to take art more seriously as a career rather than a hobby.
