This work continues my exploration of Oyo and my town "Fiditi" tribal heritage, moving from identity toward spirituality and ancestral memory. Rendered hyper realistically, the side-profile portrait emphasizes quiet expression and soft textures, allowing the marks to exist as meditative symbols rather than mere decoration. From the Abàjà lines, subtle brush strokes drift like smoke, representing spiritual memory showing that identity and ancestry extend beyond the skin. The pineapple earring, inspired by Fiditi, anchors the work in cultural origin, abundance, and continuity. The marks transcend physical identity, connecting to ancestral protection, destiny, and spiritual continuity. The smoke-like extensions suggest memory rising beyond the body echoes of rituals, prayers, and forebears. The portrait invites reflection on invisible connections we all carry, becoming a bridge between past and present, body and spirit, visible and unseen.
