"Piece of Mind" emerged from my exploration of how subtle, repeated harms can erode our inner world. I wanted to capture that gradual wearing down, the way seemingly small dismissals and emotional injuries accumulate over time. It's like a quiet storm building within, unnoticed until it can no longer be contained. In the painting, I used vibrant blues and yellows to depict the contrasting forces at play. The swirling lines suggest the chaos and confusion that can envelop the mind, while the splashes of red represent the inner bleeding, the emotional wounds that deepen with each experience. The pinks and blacks interspersed throughout signify the fragility and darkness that linger beneath the surface. I hope viewers feel the tension and release within this piece. It's about recognizing the breaking point not as a singular event but as the culmination of many.
