"Exhaustion" emerged from a place of deep introspection, where I wanted to capture the duality of outward calm and inner turmoil. As I painted, I envisioned a figure whose face appears serene, almost expressionless, yet within, the mind's branches stretch to their limits, shedding the weight of fatigue like dry, dark leaves. The swirling, chaotic branches represent the complexity of thoughts that extend endlessly, a testament to the mental exhaustion hidden beneath a composed exterior. I layered vibrant blues and greens to evoke a sense of calm, juxtaposed against the dark, tangled branches to highlight this inner struggle. Through this piece, I hope viewers feel the tension between the visible and the hidden, the calm facade and the chaotic mind. It's an invitation to reflect on our own moments of exhaustion and the silent battles we carry within.
