“This triptych is a story about love, told through the encounter and movement of energies. Two independent forces emerge, each within its own space, move toward one another, and begin to interact. In the central panel, they come together—a moment of attraction, intimacy, and merging. From this encounter, a new energy is born, one that no longer belongs to either of them separately. The work explores love as a creative force capable of uniting two people and giving birth to something new—a new feeling, a new state of being, a new life.”
Why collect this work?
Three separated canvases make union a structural problem: upright peripheral forms flank a central vortex where distinct colour zones converge without becoming uniform.
- Yerenburh names colour as her principal language. She describes this triptych as two independent energies meeting and generating a third, an intention clarified by the shift from divided edges to a shared centre.
- In the photograph, narrow outer panels contain irregular, mostly vertical shapes. Across the wider centre, apparent purples, greens, oranges and dark forms coil around an oval, making connection seem forceful and unresolved.
- Catalogue metadata records acrylic on canvas at 297 by 145 cm. Acrylic can accommodate both broad colour areas and narrow linear accents; here those contrasting marks articulate compression, sweep and interruption across the three-part format.
- The physical gaps complicate the artist’s account of love: connection does not erase separation. Encountering the panels together allows intimacy to be read as a reorganisation of independent parts rather than simple fusion.
