This piece was born from a moment of stillness, a quiet observation of how we carry entire landscapes within us. I kept thinking about how we often stand between mountains we did not choose and flowers we patiently grow by ourselves. The idea came while reflecting on resilience: how we can stand tall even when life feels rugged, how we can nurture beauty in spaces that seem barren. I painted this Iretiola looking toward distant peaks, not with fear but with a calm certainty that her journey is shaping her. The mountains became symbols of the hurdles that mold her character, while the flowers represent the tenderness she refuses to abandon. Her upward gaze captures a moment of belief — belief in her own becoming. And her coral dress, soft against the rough terrain, reminds us that strength doesn’t always roar; sometimes it simply stands, breathes, and blossoms. This artwork is a celebration of that quiet power: the kind that grows where the world least expects it.
