Artist StatementA View from the Sky Colas Decloitre is a French & British photographer based in the United States, working exclusively from the air. His work explores the point where landscape begins to resemble abstraction, using altitude to reveal patterns, textures, contrasts and colours often invisible from the ground. From remote deserts and salt flats to volcanic landscapes, coastlines and cities, his images offer a different perspective on familiar environments. Water becomes fields of colour, mountains become flowing textures, and traces of human presence become delicate marks within vast surroundings. His work is available for licensing for private collections, publications, and commercial and hospitality projects.
