Biography

I currently live and work in Cuba as an independent visual artist I studied for a bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana and later attended workshops and postgraduate courses related to the visual arts at the Higher Institute of Art, where I began my journey in photography through the "Image Capture and Processing" workshop.

Artist Statement

My work focuses on narrating ephemeral stories, the nostalgia of forgetting and the abandonment of spaces, the decontextualization and reinterpretation of the meanings of personal and everyday objects, the compositional richness of the inner world of homes, and unpredictable social scenarios. I continue to explore through documentary and conceptual photography. I use portraiture to heal anguish, express intimate emotions, and represent mythological figures. My work is divided into physical and virtual realms. Photography in the world of crypto art knows no creative or expressive limits, which has led me to incorporate other discursive elements into my expressive language, directing my attention towards digital art.
