Biography

Omoike Benjamin (b. 1990) is a Multidisciplinary Contemporary Visual Artist based in Ogun State, Nigeria. Also a graduate of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Nigeria, where he obtained an OND (General Arts) and an HND(Painting) respectively. His interest in art stems from attending exhibitions, and he later developed his knowledge of art through industrial training and various art workshops at the Universal Studio of Art, National Theatre. Iguanmu. He has then been a full-time artist since 2014 (12 years).

Artist Statement

His work blends abstract expression with mixed-media techniques. Inspired by African heritage, community values, and everyday human experiences, he creates compelling visual narratives that celebrate identity, explore themes of unity, resilience, love, social consciousness, hope, and cultural pride that invite viewers to connect deeply with the stories embedded within each piece. He use materials such as Ropes, Fabrics, Newspaper prints, nylon materials, Acrylics, Oil pigments etc
