Everything is a cycle; life itself is consistently in a flux, taking different states, ups and downs, rises and falls, light and dark, peace and chaos But most of all beginnings and endings I feel like this is the part that gives life true meaning. Knowing that at some point everything ends to give room to a new beginning, which then gives room to a new ending. This is how we learn to appreciate life and its little things. To know each fleeting moment of beauty isn’t guaranteed makes it all the more special. A thing isn’t beautiful because it lasts; it’s beautiful because it comes and goes. And this applies to everything altogether; we would always consider something special because it’s rare. And as you walk through life you realize the beauty in everything lies in the fact that there’s always a beginning and an ending. AnjolaDave, 2024
Why collect this work?
A luminous S-curve carries two tiny figures through a severe black landscape, turning scale and directional flow into an image of life measured against forces larger than the self.
- AnjolaDave describes his practice as storytelling through colourful textures and sacred geometry. Here, that stated interest clarifies the tension between the path’s fluid colour and the sky’s regulated lines.
- In the supplied image, parallel white bands bend around suspended dark masses and converge near a gridded hemisphere. The figures’ placement on the broad foreground path creates a clear route, while its unseen endpoint preserves uncertainty.
- Catalogued as a one-of-one digital art print on canvas, the medium permits sharply layered line systems, abrupt shifts of scale, and saturated colour against black. The photograph cannot establish the print’s surface or exact colour.
- Encountered as a meditation on recurrence, the work sets two models of time side by side: the artist’s account of cyclical beginnings and endings, and a path that proceeds toward an obscured destination.
