NATURAL DIVERSITY by Angel Rivas Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: Acrylic on canvas Dimensions: 110.5 x 87.5 cm Year: 2026 Price: $1700.00 USD Status: available Mixed media on canvas (acrylic, markers) 100% handmade Why collect this work?A tightly packed field of invented creatures turns natural diversity into a structural principle: distinct silhouettes preserve difference, while overlap binds the figures into one crowded habitat. In his catalogue statement, Rivas links cheerful themes, vibrant colour and innocence to a wish to create pleasure. Here, that intention meets a more complicated effect, as playful figures also compete for limited pictorial space. In the photograph, outlined animals, flowers and hybrid beings occupy nearly every interval. Changes of scale prevent one protagonist from dominating, while repeated eyes and faces scatter attention across the painting. The catalogue identifies acrylic on canvas and additionally lists markers. Broad colour areas establish the interlocking bodies, while narrow outlines and interior marks keep individual forms legible within the dense arrangement.Dated 2026 and measuring 110.5 by 87.5 cm, the painting is a useful case for considering biodiversity through accumulation and coexistence rather than scientific classification or naturalistic space.
