ABSTRACT EXPLOSION by Angel Rivas Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: Acrylic on canvas Dimensions: 180 x 100 cm Year: 2026 Price: $1000.00 USD Status: available Acrylic on canvas. Modern, contemporary style, abstract with geometric patterns. The painting has some textured areas. Ships from China, where I am creating and shipping my artwork in 2026. Why collect this work?Compressed arcs, wedges and bars collide across the wide format, making “explosion” less a single event than a field of competing directions held together by repeated curves. Rivas reports a background in ceramics and ten years devoted professionally to painting. His stated aim of producing joy through vibrant colour is relevant here, though the black forms complicate any simply cheerful reading. In the photograph, pale loops suggest partial figures or vessels, while hard diagonals cut through them. Repeated black discs and red passages anchor an otherwise restless arrangement, preventing its fragmentation from becoming visually diffuse. The catalogue identifies acrylic on canvas, dated 2026, at 180 × 100 cm. Acrylic permits opaque blocks, thin linear accents and visibly varied marks; the photograph suggests these contrasts, but cannot confirm the reported textured areas.Encountering this work allows sustained comparison between geometric abstraction and fleeting bodily recognition: a profile, limb or mask seems possible, then dissolves into overlapping shapes. That perceptual uncertainty gives the crowded composition its tension. About the ArtistAngel Rivas Angel Rivas is an artist on Mondoir Studio. Artistic discipline: painting. Based in CN.
