"Our Time" is the second part of the diptych 21st Century, a poetic reflection on the fragile coexistence of instinct, innocence, and freedom in the modern world.2 The scene is calm yet tense frozen ina moment between pursuit and capture. Above, heavy forms loom like uncertain thoughts or impending threats. The composition blends visual simplicity with layered metaphor. Our Time explores the complexity of human desire: the yearning to connect, to seize the fleeting, and to reconcile inner wildness with higher aspirations.
Why collect this work?
A diagonal alignment between a grounded dog and airborne bird turns physical separation into the painting’s subject, holding attention on an unresolved act of looking.
- Sahach describes his “photon dot” practice as connecting perception, memory and scientific thought. That stated framework clarifies the dispersed visual field here without fixing the animals’ relationship.
