"NIÑOS JUGANDO CON BÚFALOS" by Andrades Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: óleo sobre madera Dimensions: 101 x 62 cm Year: 2015 Price: $2180.00 USD Status: available Representa a unos niños jugando en un río con unos búfalos a los que cuidan. Why collect this work? This painting breaks a river scene into overlapping, leaf-like units, making children and buffalo emerge from the same patterned field as the water around them. Andrades describes his practice as figurative but stylistically varied, intended to reach a broad public. Here, legible bodies remain central even as pattern complicates their recognition.Across the photographed image, crouching and horizontal figures create several competing directions. The central child forms a visual hinge, while repeated curved fragments blur distinctions among bodies, animals, water and vegetation. The catalogue records oil on wood, dated 2015. That medium permits both bounded shapes and layered passages; in the photograph, these are used to build a scene through accumulation rather than continuous modelling. Its curatorial interest lies in how an everyday scene of shared activity becomes a test of perception: narrative remains accessible, but no figure is fully separated from its environment.
