"NINFA" by Andrades Explore Mondoir Studio Medium: óleo sobre madera Dimensions: 84 x 61 cm Year: 2018 Price: $1800.00 USD Status: available Representa a una mujer desnuda flotando en el mar. Why collect this work?A reclining nude is broken into interlocking, translucent-looking facets, making the body appear continuous with the surrounding sea while preserving its weight and human presence. Andrades describes his practice as figurative and stylistically varied, intended to reach a broad public. Here, recognisable anatomy anchors a composition that approaches abstraction without surrendering the figure. In the supplied photograph, the bent torso forms a warm, compact mass against horizontal bands of blue and green. Repeated curved outlines spread across body, water and sky, while the reflection doubles and partially dissolves the figure.Catalogue metadata identifies oil on wood. The rigid support can accommodate the painting’s layered network of small shapes and fine looping contours, although the photograph cannot establish surface texture or paint thickness.Encountering this 2018 painting allows comparison between the traditional reclining nude and a fractured visual field in which figure, reflection and environment share the same pictorial structure.
